Bengals Play by Play: Titans Rout Burrow and Bengals 27-3

The Cincinnati Bengals' struggles continued on Sunday as they fell to the Tennessee Titans 27-3. The Bengals, who had won seven of their last nine meetings with the Titans, were unable to get anything going against a strong Titans defense.

Bengals coach Zac Taylor acknowledged that his team needs to improve, saying 'We've just got to be better.' However, it was the Titans who came out on top, thanks in large part to the play of quarterback Ryan Tannehill and running back Derrick Henry.

Henry had a big day for the Titans, rushing for 122 yards and a touchdown while also throwing a touchdown pass from the wildcat formation. He credited his teammates up front with helping him have success, saying 'Our guys up front did a good job in the run game and in the pass game creating some space for the running backs and then giving me some time.'

Tannehill threw for 240 yards and a touchdown, leading the Titans to their second win of the season. The Titans outgained the Bengals 400-211 and dominated the game from start to finish.

For the Bengals, quarterback Joe Burrow was under pressure all day, being sacked three times and having the ball stripped from him once. Despite throwing for 165 yards, Burrow struggled to get anything going against the Titans' defense.

The Titans, who played without two of their starting offensive players, were able to bounce back strongly after a tough loss last week in Cleveland. Coach Mike Vrabel praised his team's ability to respond well to adversity, saying 'I'm proud of our guys, the way we responded.'

With the win, the Titans improved to 2-2 on the season while the Bengals fell to 1-3. The Titans will look to keep their momentum going next week, while the Bengals will try to regroup and get back on track.
